081016 H2 Logic in the board of JTI for hydrogen and fuel cells

The European hydrogen and fuel cell industry has appointed H2 Logic A/S Business Development Manager, Mikael Sloth, as new board member of the €470 million large European Union Joint Technology Initiative (JTI) for hydrogen and fuel cells. The European Commission, the European Industry and the European Research Community, which compose the JTI, will invest together nearly 1 billion Euros over six years in fuel cells and hydrogen research, technological development and demonstration. The European Union alone contributes with €450 million to the JTI. The goal is to achieve mass-market roll-out of these promising technologies before 2020.

080910 Opening of hydrogen fillingstations in Vestjylland, 24 September

Minister for Climate and Energy, Connie Hedegaard, inaugurates the station in Ringkøbing. The hydrogen is produced through electrolysis with electricity from wind power.

080902 "Support a network of fillingsstations"

EU Parliament adopted a legislative report on hydrogen powered motor vehicles. The members of parliament recommend that the Commission looks into measures to support the establishment of a Europe-wide filling station network for hydrogen.

080711 National support for hydrogen in Denmark

The Danish EUPD program has granted $1 million (€0.67 million) in support for the LINK2009 project, that is to secure development and demonstration of up to 50 fuel cell hybrid vehicles and establishment of hydrogen filling stations in five Danish cities onwards the United Nations COP15 Climate meeting in 2009.  The total budget for LINK2009 is $15 million (€10 million) with $6.25 million (€4 million) in planned public support while remainder $8.75 million (6€ million) is to be provided by companies and end-users.

080515 H2 Logic A/S receives funding grant from DANATF for fuel cell forklift development

H2 Logic A/S has received a funding grant from Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation (DANATF) to develop a 3rd generation fuel cell hybrid system for forklifts that reaches commercial targets and enables a following market introduction. The development will happen in collaboration with Still Danmark A/S, Müller Gas Equipment A/S and Technical University of Denmark.

080508 Toyota Prius Hydrogen to Sweden

A hydrogen car has arrived in Sweden! The car is a Toyota Prius Hydrogen which used to belong to the HyNor-project in Norway. E.ON and the City of Malmö now shares the car, that will be filled at Sweden's one hydrogen station, located in Malmö.
